Chelsea's illustrations generally focus on or involve plants and the human figure, though she occasionally works with subjects ranging from landscapes and game design to infographics and logos for business. Her concept work in both illustration and metalsmithing focus on themes such as: the interaction and theory of color and the ways color conveys meaning, dreams and the meanings that we assign to them, grief and coping with illness and trauma, nature and the way we interperet elements of it i.e. meanings assigned to specific flowers, as well as the interation of 2D and 3D elements.
Chelsea has created illustrations and comics for anthologies and projects such as Restless Minds: Imagination (comic anthology), Forged (zine), Restless Minds: Nightmares (comic anthology), Merci Beaucoup! (charity zine), Gaming Heroines (charity zine), Devilman Tarot (tarot deck), Memories of You (charity zine), Mix Up No Justsu (zine) and others. In 2018 she published the omnibus of her comic, Missing Dream, and the first volume of her comic, Return. In 2017, she participated in Sculpture on Campus at SIUE in which she received funding to create and install a sculpture onto campus grounds via a juried proposal.

Chelsea is an illustrator and metalsmith specialized in digital illustration, sequential comics, character design, jewelry making and embroidery. Chelsea attended Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville, graduating Cum Laude with a BFA in Studio Art focused in Metalsmithing and with a minor in Art History. She was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a form of Dysautonomia, among other chronic illnesses during her time at SIUE. Her illness and life with chronic illness is reflected in some themes in her work, she aims to spread awareness of and give insight into chronic illness and disabilities.
